Alternate docs to birth certificate

Dear All ,
Can some one tell what alternate docs can be submitted instead of Birth certificate? My wife does not have BC . Can we submit her ssc school certificate or pan card passport etc?

Her notarized high school certificate (SSC) along with an affidavit showing her correct date of birth as on the school certificate, passport, name of parents, place of birth etc.

BY Notorized did you mean her certified true copy of school certificate? Could you elaborate what exactly you meant by that ?

Hi I'm going to submit my paper based PR application to CIO sydney.
I'm in the same situation as your were about spouse birth certificate. Is that mandatory to provide secondary applicant BC as we don't have one. What do you think if I send the application without her BC. Will it get returned? What is an alternative to it.
