Hi everyone.
My FSW application was sent about 2 months back. And it was sent as a single applicant.
However, I plan get married with my girlfriend one day :).
And I need an advise when it is better plan it.

1. I can get married during coming year and in this case I will ad her to my application. I am not sure if the application process will slow down in this case and they will start it from the beginning. Anybody did so?
2. Marriage after I will get the permanent residence, and then I will need to sponsor her separately. As I understand, sponsorship of a spouse will require waiting for about 2 years. But will it be possible to bring her with me to Canada with a tourist visa easily? And will she have right to stay with me in Canada till the PR is obtained?

If someone has similar experience, please share your opinion regarding possible difficulties and good or bad sides for each version.

hi bro,
choice is your when you want to marry, do it.
advice!
wait for the out come of your application, if it will be approved inform your G/F she will marry you.
if the outcome is negative then inform her and then plan your marriage according to your "new future plans".

you can marry at any time. but if you want your G/F to accompany you to Canada then you can add her into your application, you can add her at any stage , even, after getting PR visa (BUT BEFORE LANDING), before landing, at any stage you can add her , she will be able to accompany you.
but
if you LAND as single applicant then marry her.......here starts the "Sponsorship" GAME.

Thanx :). Good that you mentioned landing as a dividing point.

Let's suppose I will add her when I already have PR visa but not landed yet.

1. How long can it take to get a PR visa for her in this case? Will the process for her take as long as it did for me or for added applicants it is shorter?

2. Do you mean that we must land only together after she will also get a PR visa or I must land only after adding her to the application? I mean it would be good if I will not lose time and will prepare a place for leaving and get a job till her PR visa is obtained and she will join me then. Is this possible?

Are you sure? I thought a dependant could only be added to the application before PR, not after.

bro,
you can add a dependent before Landing at any time. but once you land then the process of "sponsorship" starts. on this forum there is detailed information regarding this topic.
