"Allowed to withdraw application to enter Canada", can I go back to Canada?

A couple weeks ago I ran into issues at the Edmonton airport and was allowed to withdraw my application to enter Canada after being charged with a serious crime. In a few months I plan to go the college and it's right on the US-Canadian border near Toronto but if I can't go to Toronto then it's not worth attending this college. So is it possible to be allowed to enter Canada within a few months?

What is the status of your charges? Have they been dropped?

I do not know exactly. I do not have any upcoming admissibility hearing or anything of the sort and at the time of leaving the Edmonton airport I was told nothing else would happen unless there were more charges to be filed based on what's on my laptop (which would be nothing more).

It's difficult to piece together what happened to you based on the limited information you have provided.

With the information you have provided, I think the most any of us can say here is that since you ran into serious issues once and were turned away, it's entirely possible that could happen again. The fact you were turned away (and why) is now in CIC's computers and will be viewed by the immigration officer each time you enter Canada.

It's really impossible to say what will happne for future entries (if you will be allowed in or not). If you are basing your choice of colleges solely on the fact that you can visit Toronto - I would revisit that decision.

Ok, to be more specific, I had an illegal type of cartoon porn on my laptop and was considered to be smuggling that illegal type of cartoon porn.

Also, I had 3 types of good seized from me: A laptop (with the illegal cartoon porn), a cell phone (With no such thing), and Nintendo 3ds (with no such thing) and want to know how I would go about getting back the latter 2.
