All my job experiences will be counted for SRC?

Hello,

I know that I have the minimum requirements of one year continuous work experience from my current position which its duration is 1 year and 7 months for EE profile. But I am a bit concerned if the rest of my work experiences can be counted in CRS? Especially the 2nd one (below list) which I was working on my master thesis as a research assistant and the 3rd one which was during my master studies. Although I will provide employment letters with tasks and duties description that matches the NOC 4012 description and also pay slips from all of them.

My work experiences during last three years are as follow:
  1. Researcher (1 year and 7 months), fill-time (37.5 hours/week)
  2. Research assistant (8 months), full-time (36.25 hours/week) [MSc thesis worker, NOC 4012]
  3. Research assistant (2 months), part-time (15 hours/week) [during my studies , NOC 4012]
  4. Research assistant (3 months), full-time (36.25 hours/week) [summer, NOC 4012]

Question 1) Do I full-fill the minimum FSW Eligibility Criteria of having at least 1 Year of FULL-TIME + PAID + CONTINUOUS Work Experience ?

Question 2)
Do I calculate this work experience as


a) [#TA Weeks * (20 hrs/week) / (30 hrs/week)] + [#RA Weeks * (40 hrs/week) / (30 hrs/week)] = FTE #Weeks of TA+RA Work Exp. ?

OR

b) [15 hrs/week * #TA weeks] + [30 hrs/week * #RA Weeks] .. (to see if this equals 1560 hrs) ==> to have 1 Year of Full Time TA+RA Work Exp. ?

One Main Question :
I have been a MS Grad for at least 2 years, during which I worked CONTINUOUSLY as TA/RA (Aug 2010 - May 2012)
==> Fall 2010 (TA, 20 hrs/week) + Spring 2011 (TA, 20 hrs/week) + Summer 2011 (RA, 40 hrs/week) + Fall 2011 (TA, 20 hrs/week) + Spring 2012 (TA, 20 hrs/week)
==> Even though academic years are not 52 weeks ==> Wont these 2 academic years of continuous work qualify me for at least 1 YEAR OF CONTINUOUS + PAID + FULL-TIME WORK EXP ?


Due to Summer Internship in Software Company in Summer 2012 (NOC different from NOC-4012) ==> leads to discontinuity, otherwise: was (TA, 20 hrs/week) for Fall 2012 & Spring 2013.

-- Sep 2014 - May 2015 ==> Paid

Switch from Company A to B (June & July) -- No Pay:

-- April 2016 ==> Not Paid
-- May 2016 -- Feb 2017 ==> Paid

Hello Prakash, from what I understand you may be qualified for since you have 3 years of work ex. Please remember that working while studying does not count as a full time employment.

The gaps in between your projects/jobs is okay as long as you have a written letter from your employer A. Now, you had switched to Compnay B from July 2015 to Jan 2017, so that's considered a continued employment.

As per this link, several candidates have got PPR claiming their TA/RA work towards valid work experience. Usually if one is a student in Canadian University, that person cannot claim TA/RA works towards valid work experience.


The gaps in between your projects/jobs is okay as long as you have a written letter from your employer A. Now, you had switched to Company B from July 2015 to Jan 2017, so that's considered a continued employment.

For Company B -- theres a NON-PAID GAP in 2016. Would I be able to claim Company B experience from July 2015 - Jan 2017 as at least 1 year of continued + full-time + paid experience ... IF I GOT A LETTER FROM MY EMPLOYER B EXPLAINING THE GAP ?

My question here is: coz of the Gap ==> If I can get a letter from Employer (A or B) explaining that Gap ==> Can I cumulatively (continuous work time time before/after gap) claim at least 1 year of full-time + paid Work Experience ?
