Alberta questions.

Hi. I've applied outland but I'm currently 'visiting' my husband (sponsor) in Ontario. His job has the potential to relocate to Edmonton, Alberta so I have a question about how that will impact our lives.

I have a Dependant child from a previous marriage (included on the application) she's been allowed to attend school here in Ontario with just the proof of fees paid, does anyone know if the case is similar in Alberta?

I'm sure I'll have more questions later that's just a main concern for now.

Hi

It is up to individual schools or school boards. Generally, most schools are pretty reasonable about it, especially if the Canadian step-parent is the one registering the child. I suggest contacting a few of the Edmonton schools (or school boards) and asking what their policy is.

Thanks! I've emailed a couple so hopefully they get back to me. This potential move is still a while from happening but I just like to have all my ducks in a row early.
