Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi , I missed the cut the CEC under the old rules ,so now I think PNP maybe my best option to stay in Canada .
Can anyone please give me a quick description of the process? My NOC is B and was a skilled shortage last year , what are the processing timelines ? Also is it possible to get a bridging visa ?

Thanks

Hey Joey!

I am in the same situation. From what I understand, you can either apply under International graduate category or Skilled worker category, but you`d need your employer`s help. Also, if you`ve studied in Alberta for more than a year and you have a PGWP you may qualify for Post graduate category on your own. I`m not quite sure you can apply for bridging work permit with this. They eliminated that option completely. It would have to go through your employer who would be applying for LMIA to get your work permit extended :/

Could someone please verify all of the information above? or if I'm missing out on anything? Thanks.

Thanks for the response . I'm in Canada for 2.5 years on a working holiday visa which will expire in the summer .Never studied in Canada .
I am currently full time employed in the same position for 1.5 years .
I would have got a CEC PR under the old rules but seems I missed the cut after Oct 20 2014.I have a valid job offer but no LMIA .(LMIA doesn't look an option as my employer has never gone down this route before) With express entry I need double my current points .(600 pts for LMIA)

I think I have two advantages 1 year + Canadian experience and a job offer but not sure what's the best visa option

It currently takes 14 months for Alberta PNP , is a bridging visa possible ?

You're gonna have to go through one of the PNP programs and then apply for bridging work permit. Check link above.

Actually, from what I understand, you'd need to have already applied for PNP and received a nomination to be able to apply for BOWP :(
