1) I am working in US since Oct 2007 on H1B. In Nov 2008, I lost my job. I immediately transferred my H1B to a desi company. My transfer got approved with new I-797 until Dec 2009. I am not sure whether my H1B will be renewed after Dec 2009. Since I have a few months left, I want to apply for Canada PR.

The only issue is that I don't have paystubs currently from Feb 2009 because I still don't have a project. I can produce employment verification letter, I-797, previous W2s etc. In case, I was requested for paystubs, how many do you think I will be needing? I mean if it is just one recent paystub, I can request my employer for paying me on bench for just a month. It should not be an issue.

With this background, is it better to go for Alberta processing or FSW??

2) Also does it have a negative impact to get your application processed by a lawyer?

Thanks in advance.

Correct me if I am wrong. But don't new rules by govt claim to finish FSW applications in 6 to 12 months?

Or may be because the new procedure just started, nobody knows if CIC can meet their claims?

Paystubs are usually asked for the recent ones usually 2 months, but may be 1 month may work (not sure)
