Hi guys,
My employer will retire at the end of April, and I just completed 6 months of experience. I want to apply for AOS already.
He guarantees my job until then, and he signed my job offer and reference letter. The thing is, I don't know if I will get nominated before or after the business shuts down. If a new job opportunity appears in the meantime, I want to take it. What should I do?
1. Apply now and when I have a new job I inform the Alberta gov (is that too risky? That will delay or even decline my application? If I get nominated before changing jobs, I believe by the time I apply for PR the company will be shut down already, will that be a problem to change jobs after nomination?)
2. Wait until I have a new job to apply (unsure of when I will get a new job, could take a couple of months. I don't want to wait that long to apply, unless option 1 is a problem)
As you can tell I'm really anxious to apply, but at the same time I don't want to have the chance of getting declined.
Any insights would be highly appreciated
