Hi guys,

I am targetting AIPP program, I had sent an email to around more 500 employers along with my CV, which are on the designated employer's ist

4-5 employers reverted back asking for PR or work permit, How does this program works, designated employers are asking for a work visa, shouldn't they be sponsoring it

Is AIPP a scam which is used by an immigration consultant, does this program actually works?

It's not a scam, but it's really not that easy to get a job from a Canadian company when you aren't already a PR/student/worker in Canada. Most people in the AIPP will have gone to school in Canada and worked here for a year or so.

Also, most employers aren't really aware of all the rules around immigration so don't be surprised when they ask you for PR/work status.

If there are jobs you're a really good fit for, you can reply and tell them that they can hire you without an LMIA (this is a big deal).. this will of course depend entirely on how badly they want you. But it's not impossible to start conversations and educate the employers about the AIPP.

You should start by becoming an expert on the AIPP yourself. That way, you can explain it to recruiters/HR when they contact you. They aren't immigration experts.

Read up on the AIPP and understand it thoroughly.
