AINP nomination just received!!! June Applicant

I just wanted to let you know that I got my nomination just today. It's amazing the feeling, I didn't know what I was going to do. Applied in June trough International category - employer driven stream. Keep the hope, maybe you'll get it in january.

That's so awesome! Congra! I also applied under the same category as yours but in September. Can you share your NOC and did the AINP office contact your employer for inquiry? That is pretty fast since the processing time for our category is long. AINP probably prioritize your case because you are in specific industry?

Hi ! I have no idea if they did. I'm guessing they called my boss, but she never mentioned it to me. It was so fast, I cannot believe it. I'm noc 0711 (project manager).

Hi, I was just about to apply AINP under the same steam as yours, would you mind share some experience with me? is there any specified title will not be accept under NOC (I am using NOC 1221 or 1241)? do I only need to talk to HR department to apply for me and wait for the next step which is until I get the file numbers? Hi Slappy,

You don't need the company to apply for you, you can do it yourself. I have done all my paperwork by myself without lawyers or anything. You will need a couple things from your company (job offer, job duties list, fill a form together with you) and then you can mail it yourself to the AINP address. After that is just waiting for the file number and nomination. There is nothing else you need to do.

Just keep in mind that you need to be working during the full time of this process, which right now says it would be 25 months or more (I just got mine in only 6 months!), so be sure that you have a work permit that will allow you to extend your stay.

I'm not sure what are their preferences regarding NOC codes that are "more important". That remains a mystery, so I can only wish you good luck!

thank you very much for sharing this to me, it was just little confusing about the NOC under CEC, cuz those code I am using right now for the AINP were not accept. BTW, when you say job offer and job duties list do you mean some kind formal company reference letter? and the form I think you were talking about is AINP 005: Employer-Driven Application for a Skilled Occupation, am I correct?

correct. And the job duties one is a letter where they specify what you do in the company. Be sure that whatever they say you do matches the NOC category you're applying.
