Hello All,

I got my AiNP Nomination (Lucky ;D) a month back. But got laid off now (UnLucky :'() I am going back to India in one month. I havent applied to CIC yet. I have already applied for FBI fingerprints (12/2) and other State PCCs for me and my spouse. I have got my PCC from Indian Consulate today. I am waiting only FBI and State PCCs.

Since I am going back to India in few days, I want to make sure that I complete all the paper work or any other formalities needed for CIC before I leave US. I have got few questions...

1) Once I apply to CIC, Buffalo office, Do I have to stay here for few days until I get confirmation/ file number?
2) When can I ask them to change to New Delhi office?
3) Anything else that I should be aware of?

Please guide me in this application process.

Thanks a lot,
Procan

I think it will be safe to apply to CIC, New Delhi directly instead of Buffalo ? The option that they give is for Personal Interview and that is not confirmed. I am not 100% sure, but please confirm with other folks.

Also, How long did it take to get your PCC from Indian Consulate and can you share which Indian consulate it is from ?

Thanks for your suggestion. I thought since I am here for another month, I will as well apply to Buffalo office itself, then move it to New Delhi. Let us see, if there is any other suggestion from other folks.

I got my PCC in 1 week from Houston Consulate. (note: there are few things that was on my advantage, my new passport issued form that consulate. But my spouse's was from India only. We have already got PCC last year Nov. Since we need to get PCC within 90 days of sending the apps, we have to redo it again.)

Also, I was local, so I went and picked up. They never pick up the phone to inquire about the status.

Thanks,
Procan

the PCC should not be older than 3 months when u send it to CIC.
