Hello Folks,

I have applied for the AINP application on April 2nd and haven't heard anything back yet. My H1-B is expiring on Oct 1st 2009. My current employer is filing my extension, however as my current role has changed so my new H1-B will be indicating a new Job Title.

My concern is that my old job title was more releveant to the 2151 (Architect) NOC code for which I applied in April. As the timeline for AINP approval is 8 months they might ask for my new H1 extension and as the new job title does not match with the code will they disqualify me?

Can somebody guide me or provide suggestions ?

Thanks

Guys,
I think when you get the new extension I797 , it does not have any job title just the petitioner name and the valid dates. So, I would suggest you guys not to go to AINP and tell all this story. Just wait and let them process the application.. If they will .. still wondering..

be very careful while changing your job responsibilities with AINP. when AINP called me for job responsibilities, the lady specially told me that nomination is issues as per "current" job responsibilities. So, if your "current" job responsibilities don't match the requirements - you are leaving things on the mindset of the nominating officer.

ok. from what it looks like so far. either way, whether they like the new title/responsibility or not...they need to get to our application first lol. Then only they can ask us the new documents. In that case I would think we only need to provide what is asked , i.e. only approval notice if that is what they ask. Because as it is, all employers dont provide the petition packet to us, so we dont know what is in it. All we know is what we do and what NOC that matches up to, which we have already submitted in details in the job letter stating our duties......gosh sweating for nothing.....its not like ainp even cares about us 'les miserables' so far....

if our employer is the same and making us do the same things, isnt that all that should matter.....
