Hi,
Greetings!
For quite a long time, I knew that, for AINP, the Employer driven-International Graduate category is the best one for those, who have their education in Alberta. This category demands that an applicant must have an employment offer and the employment offer is permanent, fulltime and also needs to meet specific NOCs. During the processing, if the applicant looses the job, the application will be on jeopardy.
Very recently, I have come to know that the AINP stream has a major positive change. A new category named Post Graduate Category has been created and it is in effect since late last month. As per my understanding, under this category, someone with a valid post graduate work permit (at the time of application) and a full time job (not necessarily permanent, with any NOC) is an eligible candidate for AINP. The positive outcome of the federal PR application will be independent of employment situation at the time the PR visa will be issued.
Is there any other caveats in the Post Graduate Category of AINP? Am I missing anything?
So, the post graduate category seems to be more flexible than Employer Driven - International Graduate category. I am thinking of reapplying (I am a "forgotten buffalo to Ottawa transferred" applicant
) for PR and thinking that post graduate category of AINP is the best option for me.
Please share your opinion comparing these two categories of AINP.
Thanks a lot.
