Hi Guys,

I have an employer who is interested in hiring me in Alberta as an FCA. She referred me to an Agency also in Canada.
After the interview on the Phone, the employer congratulated me and said that she already put my name on their LMO.
She said that it's gonna take sometime but she's looking forward to meeting me.

Now when I checked with the agency for an update, they said that the employer was impressed with my communication skills
and that they want to put me on the Supervisor Position. Well that sounds good but they also said that another reason
is that they the employer will not be paying the airfare if they pursue me with the supervisor position.

The problem is, I don't have any supervisory experience and that can be a problem with the application right?
I also find out that the agency is the one processing the LMO which the employer is not willing to pay until I arrive in Canada.

Plus, I will need to pay for the Work Permit Application and etc.

Is it gonna be worth it if I go under an agency with this application?
Or Can I do all of these (paperworks) on my own?

Please advise,
Spidermark

If it sounds to good to be true...It might be a scam....Wait and see if you have a positive LMO, if not then thats ripped off!
Check the agency's reputation if its legitimate..

I am suspicious of this too. The LMO had to be paid for when the company applies for it. You cannot be given a work permit without a valid LMO. It is correct that skilled workers pay for their own transportation but I doubt you would be granted a WP without proof of having performed all the required experience for at least a year in the past three years.
