Hello, ive been waiting for a few months with no updates from IRCC, only AOR2, but wondering if anyone has similar age gap as us...
I am being sponsored and 23 years of age
husband is 33 years of age
Same religion, culture, etc.

Does anyone have similar gap and passed the PreArrival stage without further info requested?

The PreArrival stage happens earlier in the process and does not indicate that IRCC has completed their review of the application and the relationship.

IMO your age gap isn't going to be an issue since you (the female) are the younger one and you have the same religion, culture, etc. I wouldn't worry about it.

You shouldn't worry if you really have the Pre-Arrival letter. Cos this letter signifies a genuine relationship and hence no interview. Please note, am not saying the application is approved yet. There might be background check going on.

On the other hand, if you haven't received the Pre-Arrival letter yet then maybe an interview will be scheduled. However, this will be dependent on the amount of evidence provided to support the relationship, as in time spent together and memories.

So I belive once you are certain there is no interview, then you should be fine. Please note, am not saying the application is approved yet. There might be background check going on.
FYI - we've actually seen a few instances on this forum of interviews being called after pre-arrival. It's rare. But it has happened.

Oh okay, I have never heard of that yet. I guess am not reading enough threads. I guess it's rare then. Then I guess would only be dependent on the amount of evidence provided regardless of age difference.

My wife and I are almost 12 years age difference. It has never even crossed our minds that it would be an issue that works against us, as long as we proved our relationship to be genuine. If it's legit, nothing to worry about :)
