after you apply for your live in caregiver work permit.. whats next?!?!?

So i already sent all my documents two weeks ago to the embassy for my work permit as a live in caregiver. I understand you need to wait for the embassy to contact you to give you instructions about medical examinations and an interview... but i have some questions about these steps...

how does the embassy contact you on the first place?! do they call or send an email.. what should i be waiting for?

after you go and get the medical examination, how long does it take until you finally get your passport/visa back???

do you necessarily need to do an interview?? before or after the medical examination??

how long is the whole process from when you submit your application until you finally leave?!??

I'D BE VERY GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!!
