After withdrawing a profile....

I created a new profile using a new GCKey,

On the question, "Did you apply in Express Entry before?" Do I need to answer "Yes"?

I feel my old profile has some glitch, so I would like to answer "No", somehow to provide the disconnect between the two profiles. However, am careful not be accused of misrepresentation.

Any thoughts on these? Thanks

I think you should answer "no" because your old profile was inconsequential i.e. you neither received an ITA based on that faulty profile nor applied for PR through that other profile . Your former profile also didn't expire naturally. I think that is what the question means.
