Hi,

I came Canada as an International student; I studied 2 year post graduation and on that basis I get 3 year post grad work permit. Last year I applied for my wife's dependent visa and she got the visa same as I had. Our work permit will expire on September 2016. We are working right now in the Toronto.

So my question is: suppose if I am not able to get my PR within the expiry of my work permit; is it possible my wife who came here as my dependent can apply for study permit and than I will become her dependent and we can get another work permit? or is there any other possibilies like one can study and their dependent can get work permit and can work?

Any suggestion/help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Absolutely you wife can apply study permit then she will be able to sponsor you. In the meantime, she can apply PR if she qualify or eligible.

Wish you will get PR before work permit expired. :)

Thank you very much Meya06. I hope so.

I have another doubt if you or someone can help me also: after expiry of work permit; my wife will study and then apply for work permit on that basis ;so our previous work experience will count in the process of PR and express entry profile?

In my opinion, if you still working same job and same duties, it could be count in your work experience.
