Guys ...I stayed for a 3 years and ten month and already did my citizenship test last June 2014 ..now waiting for oath which I don't know when it will be sent to me ...no RQ and only a copy of my passport had been requested even though the same given during the interview ..

Now the call center told me since additional documen requested even if it is not RQ then your case will be considered non-routine ...it may take 36 month ..which for me weird ..any how. I don't want to stay for the end of the 36 month just waiting CIC officer to take his decision ..

So I am thinking if I go for a short leave like few weeks 2-3 or even few month 4-6 month does this affect my oath in any way?

For example if I got the oath letter any time during the 36 month. Then even if I was outside canada and came back for oath then is there any one will raise a comments on why I left canada or why I went for several short or long trips?

My opinion and believe is that according to the law I should spent 1095 days to be eligible for the citizenship which I did and based on that I got the test invitation ..then no one should ask me after that period (1095) on where to spend the rest of my life !! Am I right ...or what do you think?

1) Short - I am not aware of any problems, if you let them know in advance and it is an understandable reason in your case; due to your long stay without travels.

While we process your application, you should only contact CIC if:
you change your address,
you plan to leave Canada for more than two weeks in a row,
you are charged with a crime or
we do not contact you about your file within the posted processing times.

2) Long - May raise suspicions about your so called "intention to stay"
