After DM/refusal, will CIC return application fee?

Will CiC return application fee? and if yes how long they take to return full docs and application fee?

Ya you will get back your application fee after 8 to 12 wks..... I m also waiting for my letter after change of my e-status to DM and it is more than one month m unable to get it...

Were you a pre-June-2010 or post-June-2010 applicant?

Certainly for post-June-2010, if your application fails after the completeness check at CIO (and I presume it must have gotten at least past the completeness check for you even to have an ECAS status) then you will not get any documents back. CIC keep the documents once a decision has been made.

Regarding the fee, you will only get a refund if the application did not go IN PROCESS, i.e. did not get past the visa office eligiblity review and into background document checks. Can you remember what your ECAS status was prior to DECISION MADE?
