After completion of studies, how long to wait to apply for post grad work permit

Hi,

After finishing the study course, how soon do we get the Credential to apply for a post-grad work permit? Do we have to to return to our home country?

In other words, when do they expect you to return to your home country unless you get a post grad work permit?

From my own experience, when you finish your program of study and when you get your final transcripts you can apply for a PGWP, and you dont have to return to your home country as long as your study permit is not expiring before you apply and you will be on impied status if it does. Hope it helps

you have 90 days i believe to apply from when you receive final transcripts. However, you can apply as soon as you get confirmation letter of graduation and then forward the Final transcript at a later point, if they ask you to.
When you apply and even if your status expires shortly after, you go under implied status which allows you to stay legally
