After Canada PR , if I'm primary applicant , can i divorce my husband and then marry someone else?

So my question is if I'm married and came to canada on student visa and my spouse came on dependent visa. After we both got PR, but I don't want to stay with him. So after divorce,can i marry someone else who's already in canada on work visa or already PR on his own? Does 5 year ban still applies on me?

Yes that is fine. You won’t be married when you apply for PR so not wait times. If you got married and then moved to Canada and then your spouse applied for OWP to come to Canada and then you both got divorced their could be extra scrutiny regarding your marriage. If you were married or dating for years before applying to study in Canada and then got divorced the timing will not look as suspicious.
