My spouse is approved as my sponsor. Next up is AOR from the Visa Office...
Then what? The CIC website says:
After you apply: get next steps
If you have filled out your application properly and meet all the requirements, we will mail your card to you. We will only mail PR cards to residential addresses in Canada.
In some cases, we may ask you to pick up your card at a local office. If so, bring your passport and the original documents you sent when you applied. If you do not pick up your card within 180 days, the card will be destroyed and you will have to re-apply.
We will contact you if there are problems with your application.
This is pretty vague. The March 2013 Spreadsheet that NicAnn is moderating has Interview requested, Passport Requested, Visa Received.
We applied family PR outbound and will be landing as soon as July 1st or mid August 2013. We have a residence in BC. Should I expect to be requested to interview? Do they need to get my US Passport at some point?
The Visa received is puzzling to me as well. Per the CIC website: United States citizens and permanent residents: You do not need a visa to visit or transit in Canada if you are a United States citizen or a person lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who is in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence.
What should I, a US Citizen applying for PR with my Canadian Wife as a Sponsor, expect?
