Respected all, as my birth was not registered, so now i have decided to arrange following documents to send CHC New Delhi in place of birth certificate :

1). Not registered certificate
2). Attested photocopy of 10th Class certificate
3). Attested photocopy of passport
4). Affidavit from parent side for birth certificate.

Whether all these will do...?????

And one thing more, what should be the content of affidavit from parents

awaiting a quick response.

Thanks

Hi,

As per my understanding, CIC don't accept any affidavits.
For US visa application, such affidavits by parents and relatives are considered in lieu of birth certificate.
There can be different opinions.

My understanding is that CIC is flexible and will accept other proof in the absence of birth certificate. An affidavit from a respectable source might very well work. I have heard of cases where applicants have lost their birth certificates and just provided other materials as proof of birth. One such proof would be a better from the hospital or from the police station attesting to this fact. It has worked in cases I know.

Hi Singhsaab,

If you talking about New Delhi Visa office, they will accept these and don't worry. Every local visa office knows how the system works.

Singhsaab,

Affidavit from parents will be accepted. I gave the same in lieu of birth certificate. The affidavit will include the name of your parents, date of marriage, date and place where and when you were born with a mention that your birth was not registered with the local authorities at that time.

Hope this helps
