Hi All,
My profession is not included in the list of 38 so in order to apply I need to have an HRSDC approved AEO.My sister and her husband both are Canadian citizens. My brother in law is a surgeon by profession and owns a professional corporation in Canada.Currently his business comprises of his own practice and a staff of only 3 persons. In near future he wants to establish a multi speciality clinic ,for this purpose he needs more staff .He also wants to get an ISO certification for his company, for this purpose he needs a full time ISO Consultant/Quality Manager, who could not only get but maintain the certification and its requirements.
I am working as an ISO Consultant/Quality Manager in a large manufacturing company from the last 10 years. My brother in law has send me an HRSDC approved AEO with the job title of ISO COnsultant/Quality Manager on behalf of his company. Before applying to CIC , I have some questions/doubts which I need to clear ,I hope I will be able to get the help from the seniors.

1)What are the chances of acceptence of my AEO by CIC?

2)My Canadian employer is my brother in law, is it going to have any negative effect on my AEO ?(although his business, company,AEO,my current job, experience all are genuine)But only this fact that my employer is my relative ,so he might be trying to help me immigrate, could make the IO doubtful?

3)In order to claim points for AEO/get approved by CIC should the current job of applicant and the AEO be in the same lines of business or one can get job in any business but it should be related to his current experience,Plz clearify?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I think you have pretty good chances of getting your AEO accepted. I don't think they will look negatively at it being from your brother in law since as you said, he can explain why he needs someone with your experience and you do have the experience. An AEO should not be too far fetched from your prior experience since one of the requirements for the IO is that they believe you are capable of doing the job the AEO is for.

Thanks very much Leon, for your valuable advise. My application is all set to go now.By the way I need to add to my above post that HRSDC has already inquired my brother in law about my role in his business and he has provided them satisfactory information ,so they granted me a positive AEO.But as you have said CIC also might inquire abt my role in his business.

Thanks once again.
Warmest Regards
