Hello everyone,

I have a quick but very important question to me at this right moment, when I will have to decide whether or not I should apply to the FSWP under Arranged Empoyment category.

I came to Canada few months ago as a foreign worker with temporary work permit that allows me to work for one especific company. Of course, they got me an LMO. My plan was to come as a foreign worker and apply right after for the FSW with the same company under the arranged employment category. However, the company seams to be running out of business. Staff is getting shorter over time, working shifts also shorter, etc. Because the whole process takes quite long, my question is: What happens to my FSW application with Arranged Employment if the company closes its doors before I get the PR? Do they cancel the application? Deny the PR? Allow you to get a new work permit, maybe open work permit? Obviously, I just don't wanna waste time and money with a failed application! Have someone gone through something like this?

Well, I thank you all in advance for your very precious help!!! And best luck for everybody who is in this road! ;)

Sincerely,

Paula

1. Company not in existence, then the FSW2 will be refused. You would have to find another employer, obtain the LMO and apply for a new work permit.
