Advise on Visitor Visa Validity

Hi All,
I apologize if this has already been asked earlier.
My parents are flying to Canada in February 2022. Their passport and visitor's visa expire in December 2022. They were thinking of renewing thier passports from their country of origin, before flying down. I would like to know, if they do renew their passports, will their visitor's visa be still valid on their old passports?

They should be fine. VIsa is not tied to the passport., so it is valid. They have to carry both the passport while travelling and show the visa on the old passport .
