Hi everyone,

I just wanted to get some information, my son is born and raised outside of Canada, I am Canadian citizen. I have my apartment in Canada, and working, I would like to get visit visa for my son, my son is 20, I know that I can sponsor my son before the age of 22, but he is not interested to live in Canada, he only would like to visit, I will be visiting East Africa, when I go I would want to ask visit visa from there for my son.
My questions what should I get from Canada before I go? how is his chance to get visit visa since his mother is Canadian? I hope you will help on this question…………………….

It would be your son and not you applying for a visa from East Africa. He will have to submit his visa form, sponsorship letter from you and an undertaking. As long as he does not have a criminal record or previous issues with any immigration authorities, there should be no reason that he faces an issue with getting a visa.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your time, he just wanted to come for visit not to be sponsor or live there, but does he need to submit criminal record for visit visa also? I will take with me invitation letter since I will go for visit.

Nope he does not. It is advisable that you show financial capability like employment proof and bank balance to support the visitor during his visit. Being a Canadian citizen, it would not be too difficult for you to sponsor your son for a brief visit.
