Advice with spousal application

Hello,

I need some advice on spousal application please share your thoughts.

I registered with a law firm to process my PR application and my girlfriend also registered with the same law firm. Our work permit was about to expire in Jan 2024 but fortunately I got the ITA in December 8 2023 STEM draw. She doesn't qualify for category specific draws but her score is around 510. After her work permit expiry she applied for visitor visa and it is approved until end of July.

The firm submitted my PR application in Jan 2024 and recently on April 29 I submitted my bio-metrics. Don't know exactly why I got asked for background verification again on May 14, I submitted it on May 16. Our firm did not advice us before but we got to know that we can attach her to my application as dependent after we are married. We confirmed this with the firm too.
Presently, we are on a time crunch as we are expecting my PR application to be completed by mid of June our firm is suggesting that to get immediately married so that they can attach her profile to my application. My gf, parents from both sides are suggesting that we don't proceed with marriage because we are waiting for PR for almost 3 years and fortunately one of us is about to get that, later we can try to do something about my gf. They are saying if something goes wrong in the application it would reject the PR which is almost about to be done.

The other option we have is to wait for my COPR, get married, and apply inland spousal sponsorship. From what I have heard this might take a lot of processing and documentation time when compared to attaching her to my PR application in progress. My thinking is that this would in turn result to my gf staying as visitor without job for more time and also mentally being stressed about PR and career gap.

Please let me know will attaching my gf to PR application in progress delays the process even more? or what risks should I keep in mind if I try to choose any of the both options?
What would be the best approach for me?

Thanks

Are you living together? If so, how long have you been living together as of now?

Yes, adding her to your application will add several months to the processing time.
