Hi,

I am going to apply for canada PR with my wife as primary applicant because she has Masters and she is 27 yrs old. Currently we both are working in IT field in India. If we got Invitation, only I am planning to resign and my wife will take leave for 1 month from her company and come with me to canada.

My Query is will we get social insurance number and PR within 1 month. If so she can come back and join her job back in India.. And I can look for job in canada.

Another query is if she come back to India within how many months/years she has to return to canada to avoid any issues in her PR.

Yes you will be able to receive social insurance number within 1 month. But PR card will take 3 to 4 months.

For residence requirements please see http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=727&top=4
