Hi every body,
This is my first post on the forum and I am about to start the process for permanent residency.
So a little bit of background information, I was trained as a motorcycle technician and worked with Yamaha for around 5 years. I then moved to aftersales with Yamaha - selling clothing, accessories and parts for around 3.5 years. I then moved to motorcycle sales with BMW Motorrad in the UK for 3.5 years before coming to Canada. My fiancee had a number of different jobs in the UK, assistant store manager, home carer etc.
I arrived in Canada on the 5th of July 2015 with my fiancee on 2 year working holiday visas and started working at a local motorcycle dealership as a sales person on the 21st of July 2015 (job was setup before leaving UK). My fiancee started working as an outfitter at a local clothing store in August 2015 and in May 2016 she accepted the role as store manager in the same company.
Our working holiday visas are set to expire in July 2017 but we love Canada and wish to stay permanently. I have went over the processes a number of times and cannot decide on the best route to obtain PR. It seems that we do not have 1 year of 'skilled' work experience in Canada as my job is classed as 'semi-skilled' and my fiancee has only held the managers position for a number of months.
If someone has been in a similar position as us or if anyone can point us in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
