Hello House,

I want to apply for the next round of intake in a college in canada, it is advisable i apply together with my spouse and little baby? Or i should apply alone (if am to do this how easy is it for them to apply to join in canada when i get there). This application will be made in both our country of resident.

NB:My wife recently got a refusal for her study permit which was made outside her country of reside (application was filed in UK and she was here as a dependant of a tier 4 student) and i applied for an open work permit which was also refused.

The new application will be the fresh application I/we would make as she's expecting to give birth in the next few months.

Your advice is strongly needed.

You are a tier 4 student in UK, right? One of the requests for getting student visa to Canada is a proof that you have strong ties in the country of your origin where you supposed to go back after graduation. So, you are not in your home country and you do not have strong ties with either it (you are in UK) nor UK (you are going to leave one foreign country , UK, and move to another foreign country- Canada). You have requested "ties" nowhere. Do you see now why your wife did not get a student permit? Alas, but nothing is different for you.

@Regina many thanks for your reply.

I/we intend going back home to make fresh application for this new one, but my question is should they apply together with me (mean my wife and kid) or I should apply alone first while they join me later when am in canada (and if this is the case how easy it for them to make a successful application) while am in canada for them to join me?

It does not matter. If you have enough funds for tuition and living cost for three of you can apply together. Or you can apply alone and use your wife and baby as a collateral at the time of application. And then your wife (and baby) can apply later. However, in both cases you have to have working history in your homeland that could show CIC that your intend to study in Canada is a part of your carrier in profession and not just an excuse to come to Canada. And if you use your you wife and a baby as ties to your homeland how will it look when SHE applies for TRV to come to Canada to you?
