Hello good folks,

I am based in SK for a year and a half and now my brother-in-law and my sister's family are trying for SINP. They would claim my 20 points as a close relative living in SK. I have two very specific and important queries that need answer and I thought to post here in the hope that someone else might have been through a similar situation and could answer this for me.

1) I am working for an organization (that is based out of another province) remotely from SK. Can that be a red flag for SINP? My pay stubs are obviously from that province and the income tax is paid there. But I have maintained my stay in SK throughout and haven't moved elsewhere. Can this be a reason for SINP to reject the close relative points on my brother-in-law's application? Is there a proper way to explain this situation to them in the application? SINP doesn't mention anywhere on their website that one has to be working at an SK based company to be eligible. They only mention that one has to be residing in SK for more than a year for their relatives to be able to claim those 20 points. But I also understand that the reason why the government of SK wants people to be living here is to pay taxes here. Please comment on this situation if you have something valuable to share.

2) Secondly, I might change my rental address (within SK) after my brother-in-law has submitted the application to SINP. Is there a way to let SINP know of this change? I assume all their inquiries would be based on my current address and they might get suspicious if they don't find me on this address. That's just my thought and it might not matter in the way I am thinking, but I still don't want for them to have any loopholes in their application. What's your take on this point?

3) Finally, I have also asked my brother-in-law to email SINP and ask their opinion and verdict on these points. But I would appreciate if some (or any) of you guys out there could share your knowledge/experience on this situation.

Thank you.
