Advice needed from Senior Members on this Issue

Hi Senior Members
Let me tell you a bit of history about myself before I tell you the underlying issue in hand.
I came to Canada as a Student and did a 1 year post-graduate diploma, after that I applied for Post Graduate Work Permit valid for 1 year and worked for a company, the company was willing to apply for my extension, but due to some issues that I am unaware of, the company decided to close, leaving behind 2400 employees or so. But, the good thing is I got my 1 year experience, and then I applied for Study Permit and in the meanwhile was looking for jobs as well. So, finally I got a job in a small company which outsources to its client and have been working since June 2008. The company applied for LMO and after receiving a positive response, applied for my work-permit which is valid for 2 years.

Now, the main issue is that the company has been black-listed due to some reason I am unaware of. I got to know it from a co-worker, who had applied for PR and was called for Interview….but denied, stating that the company was the main issue.
The difference between his case and my case is that he joined this company right after finishing his studies in a PG Work Permit and when he applied for extension with LMO, he was denied as well.
The question now is that I have applied for my PR in September 08 and received my File Number in March 09, but after that I have not heard back from Buffalo. I emailed them at times, but they get back to me with the same generic response.
Will this impact my PR file??
I have completed 1 year with this company, will they count it???,
Will they respect the LMO and award me 5 points????
Please, anyone who has more insight in this matter respond…

this would be little tough to jugde, considering that your colleague was denied PR because of the company issue, there are chances that u may also face some issue.

I dont want to be negative but i would like to hear what other members think.

But they issued me LMO applied through the same company...why not deny it in the first place???
And, if the company is blacklisted why target a person rather than the company????
I pay my taxes and go to work everyday like a normal human being???
I even updated them with my latest T4 and Notice of Assessment sent by Revenue Agency...

hmmm u r right, i hope they dont punish you for working for a company which they balcklisted for some reason
Blacklisting sometimes can be tricky as i heard world bank banned one of the indian software giant for some reason fo not maintaing proper auditing mechanism.

But my response is based on your comment that your friend was rejected on this basis, to my understanding you still are eligible as u are meeting the requiremnts of the application.
Company getting balcklisted is none of ur business.

I hope you dont face any issues, but again i dont know what process CIC will follow , will they abruptly reject or consider your case on logical grounds.

some seniors can highlight their expereince on this matter.
