Hi ,I need your advice. My partner and i had been together for 5 years here in the Phillippines. last Dec he entered Canada as PR as he was sponsored by his wife. However they are not in good terms anymore as they both have diff partners already. The reason of my partners entry to Canada is their child. My question is does he need to file a divorce first before i go there with a tourist visa and stay with him so we qualify for a conjugal partnership or we can still practice even hes not yet divorced. Also i am married here in the Philippines but separated already for 6 years. Our situation may be complicated but we are hopeful that someone may be able to help us and in Gods perfect time we will be together again. Hope you could help us both we really wanted to be together the soonest.

Let's put your messy personal relationship aside first, and based on what you provided: Your partner cannot sponsor you at this moment, the earliest that he can sponsor you will be Dec. 2023.

He committed immigration fraud. He will be committing more immigration fraud if he eventually sponsors you, as you will have to lie about the relationship. You will likely not find much help on this forum to do that.

Apologies and Thank you for the prompt response. So by 2023 as you've mentioned, he should be divorced already by that time? can he still sponsor me even hes not yet divorced?

To simply answer your questions, 1. Yes, if he is willing to divorce his wife now, by 2023, he should've divorced already. 2. Yes, he can, if you guys can prove that you have been living together for 12 consecutive months.
But as far as your case, it won't be a simple 1+1=2. Somebody had already smelled the fish, just as I did. In order to have him to sponsor you, you gotta use one lie to cover another, and eventually, he will end up either dump you to save his PR or get his PR revoked by CIC and go back to where he came from to be with you. For the latter, I call it a "Happy Ending" for everybody.

If he sponsors you even in 2023 they could deem his intial pr as fraud and send him back to where he came from
