advantage of visiting country for getting student visa of canada

dear all ,

i m from India.
planning to apply for coming sept intake as student in canada.
wanted to know that visit of any country (i.e Australia) will put an advantage to getting student visa of canada ?
came to know that visiting of country and returning back will put an advantage because it shows u will leave canada,it puts trust.
my sister is in Australia , i m planning to visit her for 1 month :'(bh

From what I know, It will certainly help if you visit Australia and come back but It is not highly important/necessary to prove home country tie this way. You should be fine if you maintain enough cash in bank for 4-6 months and documents related to property and other stuffs.

BTW, when and what program in which universities are you applying? The reason I asked is because I returned back for US after my Bachelor's and looking for Canadian University for my Master's in Accounting.
