ADMISSION DECISION TAKING TOO LONG

Hi all,

I had applied for some college in British columbia.On Tuesday, March 8, 2011,the admission counsellor wrote to me that my file had been moved to the file evaluation stage and that she would get back to me.

I havent received any communication from her.My admission status still shows EVALUATING.Have i been forgoten?

Dont you think this is too long?

What do i do? Follow up with a amail?

Please help.

On march 8? Yes, it is very late. Just get back to her and ask for your admission status. Should not take more than 25-30 days.

Imagine man,am really confused.I had applied for Fall 2011 and should have received the admission letter to proceed to the embassy.

May-June-July is a plenty of time. Even if you receive offer letter by the end of this month or early next month you will be fine for filing your case .

She emailed me saying that my file had been moved to the "FILE EVALUATION STAGE"

Since then i havent received any communication from her.

I really needed to proceed to the embassy because the last date for processing student visa is soon closing.

This is the first time am applying for these foreign universities and still quite new with their time frame in admissions.
Is this the procedure for all students?

The deadline issued by the embassy is 31 july 2011 for processing the student visa.

I will mail her and even call her tonight then i shall get back to you guys with info for farther consultations.

sometime it happens i applied for ryerson university ...mine result was expected to come by feb end or march 1st week but i got it in march last week ....and my classes are commencing on 9th May ;D....LOLZ....it happens dude but u have to keep on mailing dem and keep track of all the stages dats wat i did

Hi guys,

I mailed the admission counsellor and copied the other into the mail yesterday as i said i would do.
When i chcked my yahoo inbox,there is not even slightest response from them.

I had finished all the application procedures and even paid application fees.I applied to Trinity Western University Fall 2011 for their BBA program.

More advice guys.

Dear Habil,

I applied to 3 universities and 2 colleges

university decision took long time, I've applied in Dec 2010, got acceptance in April 2011.
colleges decisions are pretty fast, applied in Feb 2011, got acceptance in the same month, they even send my acceptance letter by DHL to my home (Georgian college and George Washington college).

You see, colleges are very prompt about their decision, moreover due to hundreds of e-mails they receive everyday, they might be painfully lame in replying.

If I were you, I should have called them and ask the matter directly, coz you already paid application fee and you have the right to ask for your decision.

Just call them
