Hi,
please bear with me if it sounds stupid. i am about to fill out the citizenship application form
but have seen conflicting posts about the address section on this forum, and have no idea what to do ???. some say that if you were visiting family or vacation/ working for less than 4-5 months, you DO NOT need to write the address of where you were for that time period?????? i had 4 exits from Canada. 4 months ( my home country) , 2 weeks ( my wife's country), 3 weeks ( my wife's country) and 4 months ( 3 months wife country, 1 month my home country) since i became permanent resident.
there were 2 or 3 days stays in hotel, do i need to mentioned that hotels also????

please help...

I always assumed you just need to put down places where your main residence was. If you went on a trip and stayed in a hotel, you don't need to put that down. If you visited your home country and stayed with a relative or friend while you were there, I think that is ok. As long as you still had your home address in Canada. I've traveled plenty and didn't put down any of those address and I always maintained my home address in Canada during that time.

Now I've never be out of Canada for more than a month at a time (3 weeks is probably my maximum). So I don't know if CIC has some rule where they consider you living somewhere else if you are staying at another address for 'X' amount of time. 4 months is a lot actually. That is the only one I'd be concerned about and check with CIC.

Thanks Kessio for your reply. I really appreciate your kind help. I would put addresses for the 2 four months absence since i left
Canada to get marry and then for my wife's treatment. The other 2 trips of 2 weeks and 3 weeks, i will just use my Canadian addresses.
Thank you very much
