Address Required at first Landing to recieve the PR card? Help needed

Hi all,

We are planning to land at the end of January 2011 and would be heading to settle in Edmonton. Initially, I am planning to live in a guest house/furnished accommodation for a week or two and then in the mean time would look for a suitable apartment to rent.

What address I can give to the IO at first landing to receive my PR card as I would not have it? I can not give the address for the place of my temporary stay and also I do not know some one in Edmonton whose address I would use. Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

HI

You can tell the officers on the airport that you dont know your permanent address at the moment and they will give you the forms and tell you to apply for PR card once you know your permanent address and it will take 1 month. Its fine if you are going to live in guest house for first week or so you can apply for PR card by yourself when you know your permanent address.
