Folks, a quick question - in PR card renewal application in Question 19 CIC asks for ADDRESS HISTORY, manual actually says:
"Your Address History: You must list all your residential addresses for the past five (5) years, or since becoming a permanent resident if less than five (5) years ago. You must account for each month in this period. Use another page if you need more space to list this information."

so those are residential addresses, i.e. home addresses which our family use to own or rent.

Please correct me if I am wrong. We had some vacation trips around the globe in past 5 years and need to clarify if I should mention vacation trips addresses in Question 19 or in Question 21 - TRAVEL HISTORY.

Thanks for all your replies in advance.

It is better to list all the addresses if you have them. If not for stays less than a month it is not a big deal. Just add a explanatory column and say that you were on vacation and stayed in a hotel. If you remember the name of the Hotel, addresses are available on websites.

The purpose of this is to check that you were not involved in any security threat and criminal activities while abroad. These days people are travelling to join the Daesh and ISIS and othe terrorist and the CIC needs to be extra careful with all such issues.

Question one:
In regards to section C (19), if my permanent house is in Halifax for the last 5 years which has been the same since and never changed, I attended a course in Ontario for 4 months, and then returned back to my permanent address in Halifax for 2 months, but then again I attended another course in Ontario for another 6 months and then returned to my permanent address in Halifax, once again I went to Vancouver for 3 months for another course and also returned to my address in Halifax. Do I have to list all these stays as my addresses?

Question Two:
Also, in regards to vacations which are for a week or so in Montreal, Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver which were all throughout the last 5 years, do I have to include those addresses? (please note that the vacations of 2 weeks and less were in Hotels) and the ones I mentioned above (courses) were short term apartment leases.

Thank you & Appreciate your response.
