Address during PR application

I am going to be applying for a PR around this month and I know that i will be moving address within the next 2 months.

Is it worth it for me to place my address at a friends place as am not sure where I will be staying yet and have the application run through?

(trying to save time notifying CIC about address changes this way)

There is no "saving time" per se - you are REQUIRED to update IRCC about your whereabouts if you move.

However, you are permitted to distinguish between "physical address" and "mailing address" and you can use your friend's address as a mailing address and keep that consistent. If you do that, be sure to be specific when you update IRCC - (e.g. state that there is no change to your mailing address).
