Hi guys. AOR January 17, FSW Outland, London visa office here.

My application has been in background check for a while and when I emailed London visa office, they told me that my application was undergoing "additional security checks". What could this mean?

This means that they have to contact a few more agencies to clear your security,

Maybe you have served military service. Maybe you have been to some sensitive region. Maybe it's just your name looks similar to some bad guys in their system. Maybe they just randomly choose you.
