Hi
I'm bit confused about
8) Additional Point
Do you or your spouse or common law partner (if they will come with you to Canada) have at least one brother or sister living in Canada who is a citizen or permanent resident?

Question: My mother's real brother is Canadian citizen and of course his SON too. he is 24 year old.

Should i add his SON as Cousin brother or My mother's brother (Uncle)?

Please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

A cousin is a cousin, not a brother or sister. This concept is only prevalent in India. For a brother or sister, you need to have at least one of father or mother as same, or adopted by the same parents.

Off topic but you mean that cousins are considered to be siblings in a way?

Cousins are not exactly considered as siblings, but loosely they are called brothers/sisters. I think part of the reason is that there's no direct word for 'cousin' in the major Indian languages I know of, they've to be referred as son of uncle, daughter of aunt etc

Interesting to know! I guess it can indeed cause confusion
