Additional Family Member in Work Permit Application

Hi All,

May i ask if it is possible to apply for an additional dependent even the work permit application was submitted.

My agency said they will re submit form IMM 5707. I have told the agency that i was not able to add for age was 21 and will turn 22 on April 2023.

Looking for answers if it will be approved and will it have chance to be changed?

How long would IRCC reply on this concern?

What are you applying for the 21 year old? Visitor visa? Once person is 22, they are no longer a dependant.

You wouldn't be adding a dependent to the application. The dependent should be applying for their own visa.

For a 21 year old, this would either be a TRV or a study permit. I don't think it's possible to add a study permit or TRV application to the work permit application once submitted.

How is your child eligible? Your child needs a job offer with approved LMIA. Then applies for closed work permit. You having a work permit does not make them eligible.

Im asking for i have added her as a dependent in my application. My agency resubmitted the form 5707 for most people told me my child wont be eligible do at first submission i didnt include her in the dependents.

Im also concerned if the my resubmittion will affect my work permit application.

She can apply for a TRV. Since you have already applied then she needs to submit separately.

She is still a student now and she is not applying for anything yet. I was the one who applied for work permit and just submitted.

Right but what country is she applying from? TRVs take months to process. She can’t work in Canada nor be part of your PR application (if that is your plan) once she turns 22.

Sorry im lost about your question coz i am the one who applied for Work permit and i didnt include her in my application as per my first question for work permit due that i was mis informed that she might not be able to be part of my dependents since she is 21 but my agency told me she might be able to be accepted if my application go through and once i am nominated since i am applying also for Provincial nominee.

They resubmitted my form 5707 and was asking if it may have a chance to be revised or updated.
