Thanks a lot. Coz I just double checked the form IMM5533e it stated "All other family members of the principal applicant " need to sign too. Make me confused. No, only you sign. It's all in the instructions online.
Do you know what the CIC does with this form? We filled it out completely for my husband - however he doesn't have any contact with his mom or sisters. His family prefers his ex wife over me, his now wife and the mother of his children. Will the CIC contact them at all? This form is compulsory for the Principal Applicant. If you don't submit it your application will be retuned without processing.
You need to list your spouse, parents and siblings (if any) on the form.
I'm just guessing at this, but I'm pretty sure they would not contact these people. I think this form is just part of the wanting to keep tabs on people, get all the information about you, and your family's history with Canada and make sure your story is straight. A friend of mine who applied to move to the United States to be with her husband had to fill out a similar form and the officer ran some sort of checks on her family and found out that her mother's name on her passport was different than the name my friend had included on her form (which was an accident) but they emailed her and questioned her about her mother. I think it's also just so they know who is in your family if one of them wants to come to Canada in the future. The form doesn't ask for any contact information (other than address) so I'm not sure how they would contact them anyway.Do you know what the CIC does with this form? No, IRCC won't contact them. The form is to keep a record of family in case of future sponsorship and for security purposes.Do you know what the CIC does with this form?
