Hello all

Ijust found this forum , and it could not have came along in a better time. I am getting ready to apply for my pr under CEC, my job falls under category 6231. Ielts score was 8.0

i just had a couple of question and I hope you guys who are certainly more experienced then i am will help me in my queries here.

question:-

1) My question is regarding the additional documents that are required like my degree from university of toronto, copy of my last study permit and photocopies of my passport. Do they need to be notorized?? or are they just regular copies.

2) The birth certificate says in the document checklist that a copy is reqd, i was under the impression that i need to send in the original. Any clarfication on this issue will be a great help.

if you guys can please help me out that will be great me and my freind will be sending in our application in the next week and i promise to keep you all updated with the progress on my file..

cheers
and good luck to all :)

Photocopies only; not necessary to notarize (exception: if they are not in English or French and require translation - then the copy of the original must be certified, and the original copy of the translation and translator's affidavit must be submitted).

Photocopy.

Apart from the application forms, photos, document checklist (which of course must be originals), there are only a few items that should be originals, the rest should be photocopies - as CIC will not return them.

FOR CEC-Skilled Worker, you must submit originals for:
- Letters of Employment
- Police clearance certificates
- IELTS scores

For CEC-post-grad, those three, plus:
- transcripts in sealed envelopes

Yeah, If you print the cheklist and read it carefully which means literally scan through everything, somewhere in there it says " Don't send us opriginals unless we request them" something like that!

But I guess your question is already been answered which is good! :)
