Hi,
Yesterday, CIC contacted my husband asking for additional documents to prove our relationship. I am a Canadian citizen and my husband is South korean.
We've already sent them a lot of pictures, of our dates and of our weddings (we had two - one in Korea and one in Canada), photocopies of our marriage certificates from both countries, lease agreement with both our names, and a document showing our joint bank account. So I'm wondering if it's a bad thing that the documents we've sent are not enough to prove our relationship.
This is what was written in the email.
Proof of Relationship: Document proving your relationship with your inviter/family member Please provide additional documents proving your relationship with your sponsor. This includes but is not limited to: outing and wedding pictures, e-mail exchanges, cards, identity documents showing same address, insurance policies, wills, anything naming your partner as beneficiary, documents showing travel together, documents showing joint ownership of possessions, joint mortgage/loan/rental agreement/bank accounts, etc.
Honestly, we don't know what else to send. We could send letters and cards, but those were all written in Korean.
They've also asked us to pay this:
RPRF, Family Class: Have your sponsor pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee in Canada
Help?
