Hi,

There are similar questions asking for additional details of relationship in 2 forms IMM 5490 and IMM 5540 for both sponsor and the sponsored respectively.

Ques 1: Do me and my wife have to write different content?

Ques 2: How is this question different from the Question no 9 in IMM 5490 - Describe how your relationship developed...?

Thanks in advance. :)

The wife and husband should write something different. One could give an overview of the relationship, and the other one could write out a timeline of the relationship, for example. Or one could discuss any potential issues that they think might cause the visa officer some concern. For example, if the wife is 20 years older, divorced, with kids, and the husband has not been married before, one of you should discuss this in your answer.
The 'additional details' question is very open-ended, and just gives you the chance to explain anything that might seem odd, to sum up the relationship, to explain things in more detail, etc. The 'development of the relationship' question is really trying to get at how your relationship changed from the time you first met, to deciding you liked each other, to beginning to date, to falling in love, to deciding to get married, or however your relationship progressed. The visa officer wants to see some development.
