I am currently working on my temporary work permit in Regina (Waiting to receive new closed work permit based on my employment). I received my PNP last month only and have already submitted my federal application in first week of January 2013 and now I am getting married in this April 2013 in India. My question is which is the quickest way I can call my spouce from India to Canada ? Does she need to write IELTS exam ?

1. Should I wait to add her on my current application till I get my PR ?
2. Should I call her here on visitor visa ? but I am not sure about is there anyway she can get work permit after this.
3. Should I add her on my current application before I get my PR ?
4. Should I enroll her in education/study and call her on study permit ?

Please advise guys. Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Congratulations on your nomination :)

The best way is to add her on your current application but you need to get married first. Soon after you get married, send them your marriage certificate or any proof because dependants should be declared before they grant you the PR Visa. How long will it take for your Visa Office to process your PRV application?

Referring to the Document Checklist of CIC PNP applicants and to my understanding IELTS is only required for the principal applicant whose job falls under NOC level C & D.

Thanks buddy..as per PNP timelines ..it takes 11-12 months but I have seen many PNP cases which haven't been cleaned till 15 months..I can grant 11 months but rest all on my luck...the problem is it will too long for her. That is the only reason i am very much confused how can I call her here in Canada in quick time ? Initially I was thinking to enroll her in course here in Regina but not sure and I am not sure about rest of the options...Thanks once again for your information !
