Hello I got my medical check notice, and finished the check already.
Now I want to add my newly-married wife into my case, she is a qualified candidate herself but she hasn't start application yet.
would that be realistic? as my case has already gone to this point, do we have enough time to add her in?
I heard that once they request passport there's no chance for me to add my wife due to the short-time frame,
is that true? My wife has lived in different countries before( at least a yr for each country), so it's very time consuming for criminal record request for her, would that delay my case if I add her in but she can't get criminal record?
what I should do at this point? thx

Because you are now married you MUST declare your wife and yourself as being married. It is up to you whether or not you set her as accompanying or non accompanying, but you still must let CIC know that you are married. You can add a spouse to your PR application all the way to the very end, before you land. If you land as single and do not declare your wife, you are opening up a whole host of other problems that could cause you your own PR.

yeah they already known certificate has been added to my case. The thing is i don't know if it's a separate case or a bundled case. say
if I don't add my wife in, it would only take another 5-6months to get my pr, but if add her in, due to the deterrent in getting her criminal record, cic might delay the case, until they got all my wife's document right, we will be approved together, but not say that approve me first then my wife. we land together?

As said above, you MUST add her to your app. Yes, your app will be delayed but you have no other option. If you don't add her, you will NEVER be able to sponsor her.

Just to echo, you need to add her.

What class are you under? This is for forum is primarily for family class sponsorship and not one of the economic pathways. Any questions regarding adding her to your PR application would be better served in the forum that serves your pathway.

Make sure you notify CIC of the change right away, even if it is a cursory while you wait for additional paperwork (send the appropriate forms, passport copies, etc. so they can start the examination of her and include anything required like marriage, divorce, etc certificates once you have it all). Look at the guide for your pathway, see what you did and then see what you would have to change and add to add a spouse (my guess is almost every form will have to be refiled).

You can also call the callcenter for some assistance perhaps or contact your local Visa Office.
